Shaitan (Satan) Tricks

Every day when we pray… We ask Allah to guide us to the straight path. However, there are some enemies who try to get us away from that straight path.

One of these unseen enemies is Shaitan.

Allah SWT warns us about Shaitan in order to be careful and not to be tricked by him.

Shaitan will try to make us go astray and not follow the correct path.
[Satan] said, “Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path “ Quran: 7:16

How can we deal with Shaitan?

We must deal with this war seriously. As Allah SWT said: ”Indeed, Satan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy. He only invites his party to be among the companions of the Blaze.” Quran: 35:6

If you want to beat an enemy, you have to recognise him and to know his strengths.

With an enemy such as Shaitan …you have to know the tricks and traps that he uses to let people walk away from the way of Allah.

He has a tremendous experience dealing with humanity. And we have a little or no experience dealing with him. Therefore, we often get tricked unconsciously.

That’s why Allah tells us in the Qur’an not to follow Shaitan steps.

“O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan – indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing…” Quran: 24:21

As shaitan follows this rule “start low… go slow!”

Even if you become a scholar and a righteous Muslim… Do not be tempted by yourself. Shaitan will try with us again and over again.

And he will not stop trying to make us away from the straight path.
The path that leads to the truth.
The path that leads to Allah Almighty.
The path that leads to guidance.

The path that leads to tranquillity and happiness.
The path that leads to paradise in eternal life.

What are the cunning tricks of Shaitan?

Well, let’s have a look at some of them.

First of all, Shaitan will try to keep us away from the Leader to the straight path which is the Holy Qur’an. That’s why we can find many Muslims far away from Allah and they live a miserable life. 

If you are going to read the Qur’an, Shaitan will attack you physically or mentally. You will find suddenly that thousands of matters just come up, then, you won’t get any benefit from the Qur’an.

Hence, we have to make Isti’adha before connecting to the Qur’an.
”So when you recite the Qur’an, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled.”  Quran: 16:98

Moreover, we have to make Du’a’ for Allah SWT to make the Qur’an the light of our life.
